Startup Brazil Connection is a project of national scope with regionalized activities that seeks to increase the density of the innovation ecosystem in the industrial sector. The program focuses on early-stage startups that solve real market demands.
The program will offer selected startups support from ideation, through connection, training, mentoring and also access to both the market and investments. Approved projects may receive up to BRL $200 thousand in investments.

The "Conexão Startup Brazil" program reflects the federal government's commitment to supporting entrepreneurship. It reflects a collaboration between Softex, the Brazilian Agency for Industrial Development (ABDI), the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communications (MCTIC) and the National Council for Scientific and Technological Development (CNPq).

The program will be geared to entrepreneurs who have not yet set up their startup. They will go through the pre-acceleration process to become a startup.

There will be five calls for entrepreneurs to participate in the program, one for each region of the country, with a value that exceeds BRL $10 million.
Stated goal/metrics of the policy instrument
The goal is to support rapprochement between companies and industries in order to meet a demand from the productive sector for suppliers at an early stage of research. The idea is to stimulate and empower 500 entrepreneurs and generate approximately 100 technology-based startups. The ultimate expected result is achieve a higher density of startups with an industrial profile.
For established companies, the program is an opportunity to strengthen the open innovation culture, participate in the innovation ecosystem, access new technologies and develop innovative and adherent solutions to their needs.

About Start-Up Brazil:
It is a national startup acceleration program of the Brazilian Federal Government, created by the Ministry of Science, Technology, Innovation and Communication (MCTIC), managed by Softex and partnering with accelerators, to support new technology-based companies – the startups.
The program happens through year-long editions. Every edition may have up to two public call for entries: one to evaluate and train accelerators and another to select startups with rounds every semester.
