Shukhrat Azimov is Executive Director, Association of International Business and Technologies (AMBiT) - a private business association in Uzbekistan. Main goal of the association is to bring Uzbek SMEs to the level of international standards. AMBiT is serving as a bridge between local and foreign entrepreneurs, as well as between Uzek SMEs and the government. It supports SMEs with its expertise, network and partnership.
In 2017 AMBiT proudly introduced Uzbekistan to the Global Entrepreneurship Network.
Shukhrat started his professional experience as a Manager in several project in sustainable development and youth support, funded by the EU, FCO, UNICEF in 2005. In 2008 became as a senior specialist at the TACIS National Coordinating Unit under the Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Uzbekistan - coordinating projects on environment, transport and energy.
In 2010 started to work in EU/UNDP "Enhancement of living standarts" project as program assistant. In 2013 took part in establishment of AMBiT.
In 2017 became as a Global Entrepreneurship Network (GEN) - Uzbekistan Acting Director. Organized GEW Uzbekistan in 2017 (Rookie of the year Compass Award), 2018.
He has graduated master’s degree in organization and operation of transportation at the Tashkent Institute of Railroad Engineers in 2005.
