DVC celebrated female entrepreneurship on November 22 at the Azerbaijan State Economic University as part of Global Entrepreneurship Week. The event was hosted by DVC with the support of the Coca-Cola Company, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and Global Shapers Community.
The event's aim was to support women's business activities, extending their business experiences, developing the partnership environment among young entrepreneurs and organizing an experience exchange in Azerbaijan.
The event was held according to conceptual direction enhancing opportunities of young women of Youth Inc. Business Program, which is considered to be a joint program of DVC, the Ministry of Youth and Sports of Azerbaijan and Coca-Cola Company.
Among the speakers were Banu Kokoz, human resources director at Azerbaijan Coca-Cola Bottlers Ltd., Gulnara Hasanova, director of SIDUS Group Management Consulting and Ayten Aliyeva, PR consultant and training manager at the State Agency on Alternative and Renewable Energy.
40 Young women interested in business projects and startup took part in the event. In the first part of seminar, female entrepreneurs shared their own experience, success-stories with others and brought their knowledge and abilities to the attention of their future colleagues. The speakers delivered gained knowledge and experience through presentations. The event was followed by discussions between speakers and participants on the topic of the development of women’s entrepreneurship in Azerbaijan. Suggestions developed during the event will be sent to the relevant governmental and intergovernmental bodies.
