Istanbul, 17 April 2018 At its 10th annual Congress in Istanbul, the Global Entrepreneurship Network announced a new strategic partnership with the Misk Global Forum.

The partnership will help aspiring entrepreneurs to start and grow new businesses around the world. By identifying the key components of healthy startup ecosystems, the partnership will offer programs that test and validate entrepreneurs’ ideas, while enabling them to reach their potential through access to a global network of collaborators, mentors and investors.

The Misk Global Forum is the flagship ongoing platform of the Misk Foundation, a non-profit philanthropic foundation established by Saudi Arabia’s Crown Prince Mohammad bin Salman. The new partnership will complement Misk’s ambitious development plans. By 2030, its aims include creating employment opportunities for 20 million people and developing five million youth entrepreneurs.

It will offer programs that test and validate entrepreneurs’ ideas, while enabling them to reach their potential through access to a global network of collaborators, mentors and investors, by identifying the key components of healthy startup ecosystems.

“GEN is dedicated to better understanding what interventions are needed to create environments that allow entrepreneurs to flourish,” said Jonathan Ortmans, GEN’s President. “Through this partnership with the Misk Global Forum, together we will equip innovative young minds with the tools and resources they need to succeed.”
