Today the third Business Experience Days begin, this year being held as part of the Global Entrepreneurship Week (Nov. 16-20). During the Business Experience Days Swedbank together with the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, ALTUM and the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia invite entrepreneurs to meet digitally and share their experiences regarding issues that are important in business, especially at this time of transition and uncertainty. Participants represent a broad range of industries, such as IT and communications, energy, financial services, insurance, logistics, real estate, wholesale and retail, food, manufacturing, construction, health and social care, tourism etc.
This year, the participants of Business Experience Days represent such companies as Ignitis Latvija, Karavela, the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, Nasdaq Riga, Lursoft IT, Balticovo, State Real Estate, ZGI Capital, the State Labour Inspectorate, StrongPoint, Grizzly Riga, Dabas zirgi, uzvediba.lv, Integrālās psiholoģijas centrs LIBRUMS, Aseim, 3D Dati, Leilands un Putnis, Vīlands Associates, I’mperfekt, bistro Balts, Don’t panic and many more.

During the Business Experience week, 4 educational and inspirational presentations, in which experts from various organisations, as well as entrepreneurs will share their knowledge and experience, will be made available to anyone interested on the Swedbank Latvia Facebook account. On Monday, November 16, at 10 AM winery “Abavas vīna darītava” and “Erica Synths” will share their road to development; on Tuesday, November 17, at 10 AM there will be a discussion on global trends featuring experts from the Bank of Latvia, Latvian Information and communications technology Association and the Latvian Chamber of Commerce and Industry; the discussion on Thursday, November 19, at 10 AM will be devoted to export opportunities during the pandemic, which will be elaborated on by representatives of the Investment and Development Agency of Latvia, ALTUM, Swedbank and company MILZU!; and on November 20, at 4 PM there will be a Swedbank Seedtalks entitled “The Rise of Green”, where companies Fiqsy and Omniva will share their experience.
Even though the pandemic has brought about times of change, it is also a time to accumulate new knowledge so that we can come out of the pandemic stronger and smarter. We highly appreciate the interest shown by entrepreneurs to participate in the Business Experience Days, which are being held in digital format this year. Global Entrepreneurship Week is an international movement represented in 180 countries around the world, it consists of tens of thousands of events, activities and competitions to inspire millions of people to explore their business potential, while also networking and promoting cooperation within their ecosystems. The initiative was first started in 2008 with national campaigns in 77 countries and has since expanded to engage approximately 10 million participants. The themes of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2020 are ecosystem, education, inclusion and policy. This year the Global Entrepreneurship Week in Latvia is organised by Swedbank.
