On December 7 at Kibón Avanza, the Ministry of Industry, Energy and Mining (MIEM) and the National System of Productive Transformation and Competitiveness presented the Uruguay Entrepreneur web portal and the National Network of Service Centers for Entrepreneurs. The activity was attended by the MIEM Minister, Ing. Carolina Cosse, the Coordinator of the National Secretary of Productive Transformation and Competitiveness, Ec. Cecilia Durán, the Director of the Uruguayan Agency for International Cooperation (AUCI), Lic. Andrea Vignolo, and the Director of the National Institute of the Entrepreneur (INADEM) of the Secretary of Economy of Mexico (SE), Lic. Carmen García.

Entrepreneurial Uruguay is an ambitious project that arises from the collaboration of two Latin American countries, Mexico and Uruguay, and ratifies the relevance given by our nation to entrepreneurs and their key role in economic development. Its objective is to offer entrepreneurs the possibility of having all the information and tools available for them in one site, regardless in which part of the country they are or the stage of their venture process. In this platform their needs are linked to the supports provided by different organizations.

The platform is now an instrument of the National System of Productive Transformation and Competitiveness and was possible thanks to the cooperation and effort of all those involved: MIEM, AUCI, Inadem, the National Agency of Development (ANDE), the National Agency for Research and Innovation (ANII) and the Thematic Network of Entrepreneurship of the University of the Republic. It is also the result of a process of constant consultation between members of all public and private institutions of the national entrepreneurial ecosystem. In this challenge all were, are and will be the protagonists. In this context, on that same day all organizations that were involved in the project participated of the first training workshop on data loading, content and customer service.

What is Entrepreneurial Uruguay and what can I find there?
Entrepreneurial Uruguay is an information and guidance platform for entrepreneurs, which gathers information from 79 institutions and more than 170 programs. For the first time, all the actors of the national entrepreneurial support ecosystem are in one site, making all their information and tools for the promotion of the enterprises available.

On the web portal, users will have access to a wide range of resources like news, activities agenda, support programs information, guide for different procedures and directory of institutions. In a second version planned for March 2018, entrepreneurs will be able to have their online profile to link directly with the institutions, with others entrepreneurs, and enroll in online courses.

Entrepreneurial Uruguay also has a physical network of 27 information points distributed in 17 departments of the country. They provide advice to entrepreneurs on the instruments available in each locality.
