Global Entrepreneurship Week , which is commemorated in more than 170 countries, is a celebration of innovators who dream big and launch start-ups that bring ideas to life. Each November, GEW reaches millions of people of all ages and backgrounds through local, national and global events and activities. From large scale startup competitions and workshops to small, community discussions - GEW reaches new audiences and connects participants to a network that help them take the next step, no matter where they are along their entrepreneurial journey. In the United States alone, nearly 5,000 events, activities and competitions are planned across all 50 states by a wide variety of organizations including colleges and universities, entrepreneurial support organizations, government agencies, economic development groups and more.
Youth Business Trinidad and Tobago (YBTT) has been the local GEW host for the past ten (10) years, and during each GEW has been able to galvanize participative support from a wide cross-section of entrepreneurial stakeholders in Trinidad and Tobago. Because of the importance of entrepreneurship globally, YBTT have always been successful in its ability to develop a GEW calendar of more than 30 events spread across Trinidad and Tobago.
