Thiruthiraj is a business entrepreneur. He currently leads three companies engaged in the following activities: business advisory, corporate finance, relocation & business facilitation, entrepreneurship development and sustainable agriculture. He started his career at Enterprise Mauritius as Strategic Analyst. He has since then collaborated with major listed companies in Mauritius, Rogers & Co. Ltd, the Mauritius Commercial Bank, Lux Resorts and Constance Hotel.
Between 2012 and May 2015, he served as Corporate Manager -Investment at the Corporate Office of the Rogers Group and was, as such, involved in the strategic re-organisation of the Group following the spin-off of Cim. Prior to joining Rogers, he effectively led, as Head of the Market & Economic Studies Department, the restructuring of the business intelligence function and the implementation of the Group revenue management system at Lux Resorts. Between April 2016 and March 2016, he played a prominent role as External Consultant in the development of the 2017-2026 Master Plan for the SME Sector in Mauritius, an exercise initiated by the Ministry of Business, Entreprise and Cooperatives.
Thiruthiraj is a Part-Time Lecturer in Financial Systems at the University of Technology-Mauritius. He is a former academic scholar of the French Government. He publishes, on a regular basis, articles on business and economic topics in Mauritian newspapers. He is also an executive member of the think-tank Policy Forum and he chairs the Committee on Industrialisation.
